KEESLER AFB, MISS. -- 'Thunder on the Bay,' the base's first air show since April 2004 comes to Keesler April 4-5, 2009.

"We are excited to be hosting the first air show at Keesler Air Force Base in five years," said Brig. Gen. Greg Touhill, 81st Training Wing commander. "We have organized a dedicated air show committee who are working diligently to solidify two days of amazing aerial acrobatics as well as impressive static display aircraft."

TERMINAL EXPANSION

NOW COMPLETE

The expansion project cost a total of $51 million.
The Airport will repay the bond issue through government authorized “passenger facility charges” which is an existing $4.50 charge on each ticket.
The airport boast two new gates, expanded lobby and ticket area, improved roads to and from the terminal, larger baggage claim and security areas and space for two new airlines.
The expansion project expanded the airport terminal from 92,000 square feet to 165,000 square feet.
The airport has undergone three expansions since 1987, the most recent expansion in 1997.

The new parking garage will cost $15 million.

The Airport is on the Mississippi Gulf Coast midway between New Orleans, LA and Mobile, AL located in Gulfport, one mile South of l-10, exit 34A U.S. 49 South. Traveling south on U.S. 49, just follow the signs to the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport.
